WASFAA Training offers a mix of virtual series programming and standalone webinars throughout the year—built to keep you informed, supported, and ready for what’s next.

Below you’ll find details on the Virtual Fall Training Series and other webinars offered periodically based on timely topics and member needs.

 

Fall Training Series

WASFAA’s Virtual Fall Training Series typically runs August through December and features a package option for members and institutions, plus select registration opportunities for non-members. Topics vary year-to-year and may include federal updates, verification and taxes, operational best practices, and student support-focused training.

Registration Fees (subject to change for Fall 2026):

  • Individual Member* - $45 cost full training series
  • Institutional Member* - $95 cost full training series
  • Individual Non-Member - $120 cost per webinar
*Members who purchase the full training series will receive a discount code (sent via email shortly after purchase) that can be used to register for the remaining sessions included in the series.

Virtual Fall Training Series Expectations

WASFAA is committed to providing a safe, productive, and harassment-free environment at its conferences, training sessions, board and committee meetings, and other WASFAA-sponsored events. WASFAA prohibits harassment or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, ethnicity, national origin, or other protected status. It also prohibits sexual harassment or intimidation, including unwelcome sexual attention, stalking (physical or virtual), or unsolicited physical contact; and threatening behavior.

These conduct rules apply to all attendees and participants at any WASFAA-sponsored event, including online events. These conduct rules apply to all presenters, attendees, and participants. Any violations should be reported immediately to a member of the WASFAA event staff or leadership team; we also expect participants to alert venue staff or security of any dangerous situations, or of anyone in distress.

WASFAA reserves the right to remove any individual from attendance or other participation in any WASFAA-sponsored event without prior warning or refund, and to take additional action as determined necessary, notifying appropriate individuals, including loss of WASFAA membership.

Cancellation and Refund Policy for the Virtual Fall Training Series

If you are requesting a 100% refund, your request by email must be received 24 hours before the first registered session. If you wait to cancel the day of the first registered session for you or anyone in your institutional roster, there is no refund. There are no partial refunds. Unpaid invoices 30 days prior to the event must be confirmed or registration will be canceled. Please send all cancellation notifications to training@wasfaa.org and cc the treasurer@wasfaa.org.


Additional Webinars

In addition to the Fall Training Series, WASFAA periodically offers standalone webinars throughout the year based on timely updates, emerging issues, and member interest. These sessions may include federal policy and operational updates, NASFAA-related training opportunities, topical deep-dives, and skill-building sessions for financial aid professionals.

When available, upcoming webinars will be posted on the WASFAA Training Calendar and shared through WASFAA communications. Some sessions may be free for members, while others may have a registration fee depending on format and presenters.
