Thomas of Charlotte, NC Customers who used this online service from April 1 through June 30, 2001 were automatically entered in the sweepstakes. No purchase or continued online use was required. In addition, Citibank launched a "scholarship sweepstakes" to promote their new online process for applying for CitiAssist - their alternative loan for undergraduates and graduate students. Any student who submitted an application from June 15 to September 30 was automatically entered. Five recipients have been selected at random - credit approval was not a prerequisite for selection.Recipients will receive $5,000 in scholarship and their school will receive a $1,000 contribution for its general scholarship fund. Winners will be considered "official" when they return an affidavit that will permit Citibank to release their names.
