Idaho has had a long tradition for quality leadership on state, regional and national financial aid committees. It looks like we are continuing that tradition. |
State Reports... To all of you who ventured to the great state of Idaho
for the WASFAA conference in April-Thank you for the
visit. Prior to the WASFAA conference, as I was reading
the descriptions of Idaho that were written by Rod Dunn
(University of Idaho), I was hoping that many of you
would have an opportunity to see our beautiful state.
Several hundred did come and the weather in Boise was
wonderful during the time of the conference. The workshop
sessions were very informative and the entertainment
received rave reviews from the many who attended. As is typical for Idaho weather, today I am writing this with a few flutters of snow coming down outside. Elections for the Idaho Association of Student Financial Aid Administrator were recently conducted. The newly elected president-elect is Kathreen Silva from the University of Idaho. The vice-president is Brenda Reeser from BYU-Idaho and secretary/treasurer is Chris Mcmanaman from the College Of Southern Idaho. The new president is Colin Randolph from the College of Southern Idaho. Ken Jackson from BYU-Idaho is the past-president. Congratulations go out to the winners and thanks to all who offered their names as candidates for the various offices. Idaho has had a long tradition for quality leadership on state, regional and national financial aid committees. It looks like we are continuing that tradition. Meetings will be held soon to line out our year of activity, including the planning for our fall conference, which will be held on October 14 - 16 in Sun Valley, Idaho. |
