Boy, I'm late getting my report to Judy and Becky. It's almost Thanksgiving, Christmas is 40 days away, and our annual conference is a little more than 3 months away!

The Oregon association will hold it's annual Support Staff Workshop on December 5th. It's a great event for staff who don't get out of the office much. Kudos to the event committee lead by Terri Crawford from George Fox.

The Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) Financial Aid telecast is scheduled for December 11th. I'm proud to report that Kathy Goff, assistant director at good old Portland State, will be one of the "on camera" presenters. Tracy Reisinger, volunteer coordinator for the event, reports that we already have 25 volunteers to answer telephones for this call-in telecast. Our event chair, Patti Brady-Glassman, has done the hard work of negotiating with OPB.

Today, November 16th, OASFAA and staff from the Oregon Student Assistance Commission, held a high school counselor financial aid training. We had 150 high school counselors from all around the state attend. Kathy Campbell from Chemeketa Community College, Tracy Reisinger from the University of Portland, Sherrill Kirchhoff from OSAC, and yours truly were presenters.

It's been an honor to be OASFAA president this year.
