The Washington Financial Aid Association celebrated
its 30th anniversary during the annual conference
October 23-25th, in Leavenworth, WA. The conference
co-chairs, Becky Thompson (EdFund) and Kay Lewis
(University of Washington), planned and executed an exceptional
conference. The co-chairs and their very able
committee centered the program around the theme of
"Back to the Future-Revisiting Our Past and Exploring
Our Future." The program committee provided four
tracks for members to chose from: newcomers, management/
leadership, fiscal, and technology. There was something
for everyone! Several of our past presidents were in
attendance and they shared WFAA history and challenged
WFAA members to continue serving students. (That’s
what we do best!)
