WFAA had its third annual transition retreat on June 14-15. Plans and goals were established for the 2001-02 year and the members of the Executive Committee got to know each other better. A regular Executive Committee meeting was held during that time as well.

WFAA is busy planning for its fall conference that will take place October 10-12. There will be a special emphasis on students, with an opportunity for some of them to speak at a meal or two. The conference will be in Spokane along the Spokane River. The theme for the conference is "Accessing Dreams- Making Education Possible."

WFAA is establishing an Electronic Services committee that will help with web site development and maintenance along with developing other electronic services for WFAA.

WFAA will begin to use the old WASFAA logo as our state logo on a trial basis and get feedback from members at its annual conference. It depicts our state quite well.
