The IASFAA executive board held it's meeting in Twin Falls, Idaho on June 18th and is off to a great start! There are plans to start an association newsletter again to better inform our members throughout the state. Kathreen Silva (University of Idaho) is spearheading this project.

The IASFAA state conference will be held at the base of the beautiful Teton mountains in the Targhee Lodge and ski resort October 15-17. Activities will begin the evening of the 15th. It promises to be a very productive conference. We have an excellent opening speaker and informa-tive interest sessions already lined up.

IASFAA is looking at the option that WASFAA has given us to have our website be connected to the their website. We have contacted Peter Miller about the possibilities and hope to get on soon.

Ricks College (Rexburg, Idaho) will officially be changing its name to BYU - IDAHO on August 10th. It will also be changed from its current status as two-year junior college to a four- year University.

We are excited to have the next WASFAA conference in Idaho! Barb Alm (Boise State University) and Brenda Reeser (BYU-Idaho) are co-chairing this conference and are doing an excellent job! Boise is a great place visit and I hope you can all come. IASFAA is offering a $500 Ethnic Diversity Scholarship to a financial aid professional within WASFAA to attend the conference in Boise. Applications will be available in the upcoming October/ November WASFAA newsletter. Jacquie Brathwaite (Boise State University) is our Diversity chair.
