The institute is designed for management level financial aid administrators. Topics will include leadership development, staff development/training techniques, long and short range planning, the challenge of multiple priorities/roles, and much more.

The faculty of the WMLI will bring a wealth of experience: Doug Severs, Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships, Idaho State University; Catherine Thomas, Associate Dean, Admissions and Financial Aid, University of Southern California; Julie Yeager Arthur, Institutional Improvement Specialist, U.S. Dept. of Education; Luis Barajas, Director of Financial Aid, Arizona Western College; S. Kay Lewis, Associate Director, Student Financial Aid, University of Washington. Judith Lewis Logue, University of San Diego, is Chair of the 2001 WASFAA Management & Leadership Institute.
