On the legislative front, WFAA's Vice-President for Legislation, Tim Henning, provided leadership for the FED.UP process. |
State Reports As the fall leaves begin their miraculous change of
colors, the Washington Financial Aid Association members
are looking forward to our fall conference, Accessing
Dreams: Making Education Possible, which will take
place in Spokane. The conference will be an opportunity
to renew old friendships, make new friendships and
remind ourselves why we are here. The 2001-2002 WFAA Executive Committee has already been hard at work. A transition retreat took place in June and then the first executive committee meeting was held in July. The new Electronic Services Committee has been newly formed and the WFAA web site has been redesigned and updated. James Flowers was able to announce our seven student winners of WFAA's diversity scholarship for 2001-02. The many other committees are hard at work this fall as well. On the legislative front, WFAA's Vice-President for Legislation, Tim Henning, provided leadership for the FED.UP process. He is currently planning a legislative visit for WFAA members that will take place in January. We hope our visit to the capitol in 2002, will not be followed by a major earthquake, as it was this last January. We are looking forward to a great year ahead with lots of opportunity for the students of Washington and WFAA members. |
