State Reports  The Oregon Association held its annual Summer Drive-In
Workshop on July 31st at the University of Oregon in Eugene.
The co-chairs and their committee members presented a won-derful
agenda with subjects ranging from honoring diversity to
timely federal updates. Post workshop evaluations were very
positive.OASFAA members passed a ballot item to increase annual dues by $5. The vote took place during the drive-in workshop. Our conference committee is moving forward with plans for our annual conference at Salishan Lodge. In addition, our technology committee, with a lot of support from the Oregon Student Assistance Commission, is implementing a new OASFAA web page, listserv, and event registration system. Finally, the events that occurred on September 11, 2001 have caused many of us to stop and think about our values and priorities. Perhaps we'll all be a little kinder to one another - I hope so. |
