Washington State Update

At this time of the year WFAA is concentrating on the annual conference to be held in Leavenworth, Washington, located in the Cascade Mountains. The conference dates are October 23 to 25. This year's conference theme, "Back to the Future - Revisit Our Past & Explore Our Future" will provide an opportunity to take a look at our accomplishments and contemplate our future challenges plus celebrating our 30th anniversary! The conference committee, ably lead by Kay Lewis (University of Washington) and Becky Thompson (EdFund), has designed a program that includes something for everyone. The program includes sessions for newcomers and seasoned managers, as well as sessions dealing with technology and fiscal issues. In addition, WFAA's past presidents will be on hand to participate in sessions and share their experiences.

Rebecca Wonderly has returned to the financial aid profession after a hiatus. She worked for St. Martin's College as a director 14 years ago and recently returned as director. Welcome back to Washington and Financial Aid!
