PacFAA, Pacific Islands Update

 I know many of you are anxiously awaiting the update - so
as I look out my window and scan the horizon - not a hurricane
in sight and the surf is flat on all shores! This is the time
of year to bring out the tanks and spears for diving and fishing
in the calm waters (and of course lobster being in season is an
added bonus!) and wait for the arrival of the winter waves.
Once again, through various effective recruitment techniques
(bribery, blackmail and threatening) this years committees
are chaired and busy at work. The key committees
and chairs for this year are:

The Parent Night committee has been very busy upgrading
and enhancing the program and materials. As well as expanding
our coverage on Oahu this year we are looking to
expand the activities of PacFAA on the neighbor Islands with
an increase in support for our local members. This year, in
addition to Honolulu, we will also be holding High School
Counselors training in Hilo.
