IASFAA: Idaho
by Joyce Moore

Ballots have gone out to the membership for the 2000-2001 elections. We have a great group of nominees on the ballot again this year, and we're looking to the 2000-2001 year with great expectations.

Our spring training is scheduled for March 23rd and March 24th. ED Reauthorization training and WASFAA/NASFAA training will be piggybacked to provide the best opportunity for IASFAA members to attend from throughout the state of Idaho. The training will be held in Boise, ID at Boise State University.

Jennifer Zimmers (College of Southern Idaho) is the recipient of the IASFAA Scholarship to send a member to WASFAA 2000. She is excited to represent Idaho in Anchorage in April, and has been asked to serve as a WASFAA cub reporter at the conference. Congratulations, Jennifer!

After a lengthy search for just the right place, Rod Dunn (University of Idaho) has reported selection of a site for the IASFAA 2000 conference. His recommendation is Templins Lodge in Post Falls, ID. The conference dates have been set for October 16, 17 and 18, 2000.

Dwight Barreth left Idaho State University and headed to Boise State University to work as a financial aid counselor. Steve Woodburn has moved from Portland State University to the University of Idaho to assume the position of Associate Director. Lois Kelly left Boise State University at the end of February to assume the position of Assistant Vice President for Financial Aid at Indiana Wesleyan University. Good luck on your new endeavors!
