1999-2000 Award Recipients

Each year, as an organization WASFAA selects candidates for several different awards to recognize the volunteerism and leadership provided by our members. The 1999-2000 WASFAA Award recipients were:

Distinguished Service Award:
Sister Dale Brown, University of San Diego

Meritorious Service Award:
Andy Promsiri, University of CA-LA

Special Recognition Award:
Julie Yeager Arthur, US Department of Education

Special Recognition Award:
Lois Kelly, formerly of Boise State University

Honorary Membership Award:
Larry Gladieux, The College Board

Lifetime Membership Award:
Jerry Sims, Art Center College of Design (CA) and Ray Steiner, Scottsdale Community College

Committee-of-the-Year Award:
Fund Development Committee; co-chaired by Sun Ow, Nellie Mae and Kay Soltis, Pacific Lutheran University

In addition to these outstanding WASFAA awardees, we had another member who was recognized by NASFAA in 1999-2000:

NASFAA Leadership Award:
Rick Weeks, University of Alaska - Anchorage
