The "old" and "new" Executive Committee of the Washington Financial Aid Association met in May for a transition retreat to say goodbye to members leaving the committee and to welcome members joining the committee. The old/new members exchanged ideas, developed committee goals and completed a tentative budget for the new fiscal year. Now is an excellent time to become involved in WFAA! Volunteers are needed! Please contact me if you have an interest in our organization. The 2000 conference, "Back to the Future," is scheduled for Oct. 23-25 in Leavenworth, WA, at the Enzian Inn. The conference co-chairs, Kay Lewis and Becky Thompson, are planning a program with relevant break out sessions, motivational speakers, and federal and state updates. Please join us to celebrate WFAA's 30th Anniversary!
