WFAA: Washington

Committee work is the lifeblood of any organization and several WFAA committees are hard at work putting together programs for our members. The Training Committee is in the final stages of preparing a one-day training event that will be offered in Spokane at Whitworth College on July 20 and in Kirkland at Northwest College on July 22. The workshops will include updates from the Higher Education Coordinating Board and the U.S. Department of Education; a workshop on web resources; a session on the Master Promissory Note and a panel discussion on "tricky" issues facing Washington financial aid administrators such as voter registration requirements, the GET program, the Hope tax credit, and more. Look for registration information to be out soon.

The Fall 1999 Conference Committee is in a whirlwind of activities to organize the fall conference to be held in Bellingham, Washington from October 20-22, 1999. It promises to be an event you won't want to miss. Although it may seem far away, the time to make your plans and reservations is just around the corner.
