Summary of Activities:
Membership
payments have been processed on a regular basis and forwarded on to the
Treasurer. Current statistics appear at the end of this report. Last year at
this time the currenty membership was 1030. We have 225 more members at this
time than we did last year.
ATAC was contacted
about changing the collection of ethnicity data. ATAC does not want to allow
for write in responses because it makes it difficult to get usable reports.
Once the changes are finalized, we will ask the membership to update their
current profile so that it is accurate.
Peter Miller found
that there were a number of schools that are categorized as
"Proprietary" that are not. The primary contacts will be contacted
this week or next to check the institutional information and update it.
Research was done
on the question of institutional versus individual membership for WASFAA and
shared with Lana Walter. The recommendation, based on the research, is that we
stay with the individual membership.
Members with
unpaid invoices have been contacted and reminded of the outstanding invoice.
This has brought in some additional funds recently. There still seems to be
some duplication of invoices between training and membership, so the committee
will review this further.
The
membership committee of one was increased to include WASFAA members that were
interested in serving on the committee. All those that indicated an interest in
serving via the website were invited to join the committee. Of those that were
invited seven agreed to serve.
An
agenda was created and arrangements for a conference call meeting were made,
but unfortunately only three people called in for the meeting so it was
postponed for a later time.
